What our past participants
have to say about TraveLearn's

"The variety of educational programs presented as well as the comfortable atmosphere for learning. I also enjoyed the casual dressing for most events. The presenters were very friendly and frequently available to passengers for stimulating conversations."

"Antarctica was an adventure probably never to be repeated! The mix of people in our group was wonderful. The workshops were great! The Russian staff, service, food was terrific. The zodiac expeditions were outstanding! I loved the whole adventure!"

"The smooth handling of all aspects, which is critical to a successful learning experience, that makes the best of your time. The trip on the Yangtze River was very informative and a welcome break from a tight schedule. The opportunities to visit schools and the embassy were very special and gave excellent insights into China and it tremendous progress."
China - S. Hoover, OH

"We enjoyed the trip to China in many ways and had our eyes opened by the reality of the country versus our preconceive ideas. The overall trip, the national guides, the accommodations and meals were excellent."
China - T. Boring, OR

"The China program was very will organized. The guides were terrific!! We had a wonderful group to travel with. The food was very good and the hotels were impressive. I would recommend TraveLearn very highly to anyone."
China - A. Zeiger, NY

"Learning about China’s people, its culture, its history through the national and local guides was what I liked most about my Learning Vacation to China. The guides shared their knowledge of China with pride and enthusiasm. My mind is richer for learning China’s long history and my heart is kinder for learning more about its people and its culture. I return to the United States as an unofficial ambassador to China. I encourage others to go to China and become enlightened."
China - L Noblin, TX

"We had heard that TraveLearn’s tours were well planned and we now have first hand knowledge that this is true. Thanks to the escort, national guide and the various city guides we were introduced to China in a way we could never have received by touring by ourselves, or reading a variety of books. The entire trip was wonderful."
China - W. &L. Hess, CA

"The trip was very organized. The accommodations were better than described. I learned more than I expected and I especially enjoyed the "real life" experiences - meeting people from China throughout the trip."
China - V. Roberson, IL

"Just a super trip - would take another without hesitation."
Costa Rica - Mary Ann Johnson, IL

"I have waited about 40 years to see Egypt. I am so happy I took this trip with TraveLearn. One of the absolute best things was to have a guide as knowledgeable, humorous, educational and "fluent in many cultures". He truly shared his love and enthusiasm for his people, country and their history."
Egypt - C. Feller, NY

"All the reservations and planning was done for me since I really would have had no idea what to see in Egypt during the 2 week vacation. The food was delicious and the whole group of people got on really well. My roommate was terrific. We just clicked and got along great! First class all the way. It would be harder for me to travel in a lesser class next time!"
Egypt - K. Dean, MD

"Our guide Mohammed Shata was amazing! Our small group size was to our advantage. I really felt like we became a small family! Everyday there was something new to love about Egypt and this fabulous trip. TraveLearn should be the standard to which all Egypt vacations/tours have to be held to, you can't beat the price or the treatment anywhere!"
Egypt - A. Bast, WI

"The sites we visited were not only interesting but unique sites for tourists. As usual, TraveLearn manages to give participants some off-the-beaten track experiences that make your programs special. Throughout the trip, Mohammed did everything he could to address the special requests people had and that energy and enthusiasm for his country gave us all a deep appreciation for Egypt."
Egypt - B. Heidron, NY

"Because of the tension generated by the September attack, I initially was annoyed that TraveLearn did not cancel the tour for safety consideration. Today, I am extremely pleased that I decided to go to Egypt. I decided to go with faith, not fear. Safety was not a concern during the entire trip. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone…."
Egypt - C. Robinson, MD

"The thing what impressed me most were the arrangements of the trip. The food was great, rooms were wonderful. It was a dream-like experience. Great!"
Egypt - Jesse Del Toro, CA

"I have nothing negative to say about the Egyptian Odyssey. The trip was a positive experience and certainly added to my education of the past and current civilizations. The accommodations were excellent, the food delicious, the group of folks delightful and the guides gracious and informed. I had a terrific time and just loved every minute and hated for the trip to end."
Egypt - Bette Peterson, CA

"Our stay at the Mena House with the spectacular view of the pyramids was outstanding! This was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you for making my dream come true. This trip exceeded my expectations, it was incredible! Dreams can come true!!"
Egypt - Trudy Winnicki, AZ

"All accommodation met or exceeded our expectations. La Mirage was awesome! Very pleasant and perfectly organized! All was super, form the Andes to Galapagos. All the guides were knowledgeable, courteous, and enthusiastic."
Galapagos - G. & L. Kane, NC

"Marco was a superb guide – he was very congenial and he knew everything from plant names to history. Your 7-day option gave us a chance to see the islands in much more depth. (We) were very impressed by the logistical efficiency of the trip. The accommodations of course were first-rate, much finer that what we seek out when we travel on our own is the US or Western Europe. Our primary reason for taking the trip was the Galapagos with their wildlife, and that has to be the high point of the trip for us. The very knowledgeable and friendly naturalists certainly enhanced the experience."
Galapagos - N. & L. Ekfelt, NY

"The trip was first class all the way - the Galapagos Islands were the highlight for me - I majored in biology many, many years ago and I was fascinated with the birds, reptiles, and mammals. They are so unafraid of humans - Amazing!"
Galapagos - P. Scholz, IA

"This was a beautifully balanced program in all aspects: adventure, fun, time to relax, time to learn, time to explore, time to make new friends and meet new people. All these facets seemed to come together with ease - it was a complete - all senses satisfied adventure and I thank you."
Galapagos - Barbara Long, CA

"The guides were consistently wonderful. The accommodations were excellent - beyond expectations. You are to be commended for your attention to details in planning. I would recommend you to everyone I know and I want to use you again and again and again. This was the best organized and executed trip I have ever enjoyed - without exception - and I've had many!! Once again, I can't be more enthusiastic about this first class learning/travel experience!"
Indonesia - A. Levin, IL

"I would recommend TraveLearn to anybody who truly wishes to understand and get to know a country. It was an adventure! The excellent escort and in-country guide were open, friendly, personable, humorous, and knowledgeable. The variety of activities - never a boring day. Sunrise in the Sahara...Visiting Old Fez...Length of the trip was perfect."

"I enjoyed meeting and spending time with Moroccan family. Local professors were interesting and yet diverse in their presentations. I thought the itinerary was excellent with accommodations and the amount of time spent in each city was just right."
Morocco - D. Springs, MD

"Excellent attention to detail in planning itinerary and meals. We ate in great restaurants - far above my expectations. TraveLearn did not try to cut any corners! Also limiting the number on tour to 20 was to me one of the most outstanding aspects."
Morocco - K. Grigsby, CA

"The trip traverses the contrasts within the country geographically and sociologically. The itinerary was also varied, combining natural phenomenon and historical sites. The entertainment and the excellent food also added to our pleasure."

This was an once-in-a-lifetime trip, I was grateful to have seen so much of Peru with such knowledgeable guides. For those who enjoy group travel/planned tours this is a marvelous, wonderful trip. I’m so glad I went."
Peru - R. Kings, AZ

"The expertise and general attention and caring provided by our escort make this trip exceptional. Our every need was seen to and we all learned so much! All transfers and travel arrangements were efficiently carried out. Having a personable, knowledgeable guide with us for all the South Africa itinerary make the trip outstanding. Accommodations for the most part were excellent and the food and dining facilities were also excellent. Even the animals cooperated! It was a great trip!"
South Africa - D. Crane, CT

"South Africa was so diverse, and that really was exciting to me. The cities were big and interesting, and the bush was intimate and adventurous. Rocktail was to die for, and Zulu Land and Kwabekithunga was an experience I would never trade away for a million dollars. Each place is so unique and different and you think it can't get any better - but then it does!!"
South Africa - Janet Tucker, PA

"The pace was well planned and executed. Highlights were: city of Barcelona, Picasso Museum, Montserrat, Cordoba and the Mosque, Granada and Alhambra, and the city of Toledo."
Spain - J. & S. Garland, GA

"Because we had such an exceptional in-country guide, we had the opportunity to really get a feel for the Spaniards and their country. In Rute, especially, we received such warm hospitality and were able to tour different places that were not full of other tourist."
Spain - C. & S. Grannies, CA

Spain - B. & C. Maeser, TX

"The in-country guide was great. Spain is rich in its people, history, and culture. Every destination was very clean and kept up. I especially enjoyed viewing the architecture and learning of the various peoples who have occupied and developed the countries regions."
Spain - C. Hassien, MI

"To see the number and variety was beyond my expectations. The accommodations were very nice and the food was great. Our driver/guide make the trip so much more enjoyable with his stories, and knowledge of the areas and the animals. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see the animals. The Tanzanian people were also very friendly."
Tanzania - H. Perry, OH

"I like seeing more animals than I imagined. The Serengeti was my favorite and don’t shorten time spent there. I wanted to be out in the parks all the time and this trip provided that. When you travel that far it’s better to take advantage of all the viewing areas rather than relaxing at a hotel. It is a little tiring towards the end of the second week, but I would always want to be out seeing something. You have plenty of time on the plane to sleep. The lecturers were so soft spoken but very knowledgably and everyone thought the Maasai Conservationist at Lake Manyara was excellent. He answered all questions about his lifestyle and helped us understand tribal living."
Tanzania - B. Fair, OH

"Socially the most enjoyable evening was visiting a family in their apartment in Istanbul…Visiting the museums in Ankara and Antalya…Seeing the white limestone deposits on the terraces at Pamukkale…Trying the Turkish cuisine and wines, which were generally very enjoyable."
Turkey - B. O’Malley, Canada
